Grade 1-3?Milton presents a good overview of the subject despite the constraints of the easy-reader format. She brings the world of wild gorillas, Dian Fossey, and Koko to life for young readers. Barnard's realistic illustrations follow the text closely, but do not expand upon it. Children interested in wildlife or these animals in particular will enjoy learning some basics about how and where they live, what they eat, and how scientists study them.
